The 2018 Giro d’Italia. It was a battle between sprinters, Viviani and Bennett going head to head day after day. It was a GC battle for the ages. Just when Yates appeared unbeatable and Froome was all but written off, a massive breakaway and time gap on Stage 19 brought him roaring back. It reminds us of Froome’s words after his 2013 Tour victory, “This is one yellow jersey that will stand the test of time.” We’ll have to see if the same is true for this pink jersey.
