Ōhau

There are challenges in all aspects of life. Most of them are thrown our way whether we like it or not. But sometimes we need to take the helm and throw challenges in front of us. Taking risks, feeling scared, pushing boundaries and not knowing the outcome is part of life and helps us to grow. Mt. Cook is New Zealand’s highest mountain and I thought I’d take on the challenge myself to climb the same height as its summit on Ōhau Ski Access Road, in the process honoring the pioneering climbers that had first ascended the iconic mountain. Their hardships would be nothing like mine but I drew inspiration from them.
